A real honour this morning to meet the 1987 All Scotland Accordion Champion Billy McGuire, I’ve been listening to his music since starting, we have spoke on the phone a lot over the years, he was the last button accordion player to win the championship before I had the honour of bringing the Jimmy Shand Shield home in 2014. I wasn’t born for 9 years after he won. It was so lovely to play some tunes and have a chat at his home. Billy could do things on the box that no one else could. It was an honour …

A big thank you to everyone for your kind comments about my latest award at the Hot Country TV Awards show. It was well worth the long drive and got back home late last night. On the road again on Saturday to Fraserburgh and then a concert in Coldstream on Monday. I was delighted meet up with Tony Allen of Foster and Allen and Radio/Tv Presenter Michael Commins

Delighted and honoured to win and take back to Scotland Hot Country TV’s Jimmy Shand Music Inspirational Award. Heading for the Belfast Ferry now, it was worth the long journey and to be part of such a fantastic event with So many talented people. A big thank you to Hugh O Brien and his team, and of course to everyone that supports my music career, look forward to seeing you all at a concert sometime soon, best wishes
